Brief Guide

The Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) contain all the current law of the state of Nevada. 

The Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) contains all of Nevada's current administrative regulations.

The Department of Health and Human Services administers the medical marijuana program.

The Department of Taxation oversees the recreational marijuana industry.

This is the initiative that Nevadans passed in November 2016 to legalize the recreational use of marijuana.  It cannot be "amended, annulled, repealed, set aside or suspended" by the Legislature during the three years after its passage.

Division of Public and Behavioral Health:  Medical Marijuana

The medical marijuana program is administered by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services.  They have imposed some additional regulations, which can be found here.

Department of Taxation: Temporary Regulations for Recreational Marijuana

The Department of Taxation has not yet finished developing regulations for recreational marijuana.  In the meantime, it has initiated a temporary licensing program with temporary regulations.
